A Brief History
Established in 2001, Artisan Granite has worked steadily toward building a solid reputation based on quality and customer service. We take great pride in our ability to deliver hand-crafted works of art that are true heirloom pieces intended to last for generations. Whether working with our clients to create new designs or replicating classic works, our customization skills and attention to detail are second to none. Our master craftsmen have developed their skills through apprenticeship training, handed down through the generations. Their skills are quite uncommon in our modern age; our factory located in rural northern China is one of only a few left where true master stone and metal sculptors can be found.
Quality
We Use Only Traditional Materials
All of our statuary is carved from solid stone blocks or cast in bronze. We do not deal in cast-stone, resin, or “engineered stone” products of any kind. The carving is completed using a combination of hand tools and hand-held electric power tools. For our stone statuary, we typically use marble. We do make some statues in granite, limestone, and travertine as well. Marble is the material of choice in most cases, due to its excellent balance between workability and durability. An untreated marble statue installed outdoors in a 4-season climate will have over 100 years longevity. Bronze is a maintenance-free material that will endure for hundreds of years in an outdoor environment, exposed to the elements.
