What is the Modular Granite Countertop System?
An Introduction
By combining the use of 25.5-inch square tiles, a pre-cut sink countertop, 4-inch high back-splashes, and polished granite strips for a "thick slab" appearance, our customers now have the ability to create a beautiful solid granite kitchen work surface quickly and easily, without the need for special training or equipment. Our system eliminates the need for grout lines, provides for an undermount sink, and has a polished decorative edge, just like custom-fabricated granite countertops. And, we offer this product in a selection of high-end colors. Our complete 4-piece modular system is described below.
The tiles are 3/4-inches thick, and come with a polished front edge. Their 25.5-inch depth allows for a decorative 1.5-inch over-hang when used with a standard 24-inch deep cabinet. In addition, polished granite strips are available in matching color, if a thick decorative edge or vertical over-hang is preferable. Each tile is exactly 4.55 square feet.

Piece #2: Pre-cut Sink Countertops
The countertops are equal in length to exactly 2 tiles, or 51-inches. You pay only the flat-rate cost per square foot, the same as purchasing tiles. Each countertop is exactly 9.1 square feet. Customers can choose from one of our two under-mount sink options: A single bowl or a double bowl. These specially selected sinks are crafted from high quality 18-gauge stainless steel. Both sinks are large, deep, functional and will compliment any kitchen design or style. Best of all, these sinks are offered at a price of $229.00/ea., less than half the cost of similar sinks from Kohler, Franke, or Blanco. The countertops come with pre-installed mounting hardware for the sink, a pre-drilled center faucet hole, and a polished radius inside edge around the perimeter of the sink cutout.

Piece #3: Back-Splashes
Four-inch high back-splashes are available in matching color. Like the tiles & pre-cut sink countertop, you pay only the flat-rate cost per square foot. When used, back-splashes enhance the overall appearance of the work surface, providing a "custom-made" look. The back-splashes are 25.5-inches long, equal in length to exactly one tille and will add 0.71 square feet (each) to the surface area figure used for calculating total cost.

Piece #4: Polished Decorative Edge Strips
These polished granite & marble strips are offered as a final detail for those customers looking for a high-end edge treatment appearance. The polished strips are equal in length to 1 tile, with dimensions of 25.5 x 1.5 x 0.75-inches. They come with 2 polished surfaces, and can be used to create a double-thick square edge, or, offset from the countertop/tile facing to create a waterfall profile. Each polished strip will add 0.27 square feet to your surface area calculation.
